Boos Fest is Back for Halloween 2026!
Boos Fest 2026: The Trick-or-Treat Bar Crawl Returns Saturday, October 24
Summer is over and you can smell the pumpkin spice in the air. Halloween is around the corner and Bar Crawl Nation's "Boos Fest" is back!
Boos Fest is a 21+ "trick-or-treat" bar crawl. Instead of knocking on doors for candy, hundreds of costumed partygoers visit multiple haunted bars for boos-y prizes.
The event is coming to 24 cities around the country. Read on to get all the details and find the closest city so you can join the fun!
Early Bird pricing ends this Sunday, September 6 at 11:59 p.m. — if your crew's already in, don't wait.
So what's a "trick-or-treat bar crawl"?
There are lots of Halloween bar crawls out there, and honestly, most are lame. You show up, get a wristband and list of bars, and that's it.
Boos Fest is built different. Drawing hundreds of costumed attendees and working with the best bars in cities around the country, it starts with a haunted kick-off party, a crawl that features "trick-or-treat" prizes at each spot, and an afterparty to keep the spooky fun going into the night.
Here's how the night actually runs:
1. Check in at the official Halloween kick-off party. Show up, get your ticket scanned, and walk the haunted red carpet to access a party with live DJ, spooky cocktails, photo opps, and prizes.
2. Costume Crawl with Surprises. Follow the costumed crowd to a curated selection of haunted bars. Each spot has a fun Halloween party vibe and you move at your own pace and hit them in whatever order you like.
3. Collect your treats. Halloween swag? Free drinks? You "trick-or-treat" by scanning a posted QR code with the official Bar Crawl Nation app - redeem your "treat" at each spot with a bartender or Bar Crawl Nation staff. (Note: free drinks only available where allowed by law)
4. Join the afterparty. After hitting each haunted bar on the crawl, everyone converges on the final stop: the official afterparty. The fun goes late into the night with a DJ'd dance party.
5. Enter the costume contest. Strut your stuff at the afterparty for a chance at 1st place and your share of a $750 value gift card prize pool. Compete for best solo, duo, or group costume!
Boos Fest is much more than your typical bar crawl, it's a Halloween themed night out with hundreds of new friends and surprises and giveaways at the best spots!
Why October 24 and not the 31st?
We're kicking off Halloween week on the 24th, and there's a real reason for it. On the 31st, even if you've declined every house party invite and decide to go out, every bar in America is slammed with walk-ins and running on fumes.
On the 24th, our venues are staffed up, stocked up, and actually running the event with us — Boos Fest attendees are the star of the night with shorter lines, better drinks, and bartenders who know exactly why you're there.
Halloween 2026 gives you two weekends, and we think you should use both. October 24 is the one with the Boos Fest "trick-or-treat" crawl — a full Saturday night, in costume, with a route, a massive fun crowd, and prizes. October 31 is yours to do whatever you want with: the house party, the neighborhood thing, handing out candy in a bathrobe.
Nobody's ever regretted celebrating Halloween twice!
VIP vs General Admission
One event, two ticket types. VIP is the full package and GA is the more economical option. Here's what to expect:
VIP: Expedited VIP entry to the kick off party, a spooky cocktail tasting spanning multiple venues, and upgraded swag & giveaways. Plus, everything included in GA.
Yes, VIP costs more, but hey, you like the finer things in life and there's a reason why these are the tickets that move first!
General Admission: Free cover entry to the kick-off party, all venues on the crawl, and the afterparty. Your ticket unlocks the Bar Crawl Nation app letting you "trick-or-treat" at each venue for prizes. Enter the costume contest or help judge. Plus, a party atmosphere all night with decorated bars DJs, spooky cocktails on offer, and photo opps.
No matter which path you choose, you're guaranteed to have an amazing night!

Early Bird pricing ends Sunday, September 6
Boos Fest tickets go up in stages between now and October 24. Early Bird is the first stage and the lowest price of the season, and it ends Sunday, September 6 at 11:59 p.m.
After that, prices step up. They'll step up again as we get closer to the event, and again at the door if there's anything left. That's not a sales tactic — it's just how we price, and we tell you the dates so you can decide when to buy with your eyes open.
If your crew already knows they're in, buy now. If you're the one organizing everybody, this is your reminder that group chats move slowly and Sunday is this weekend.
A few things worth knowing
It's 21+. Bring a valid ID — you'll need it at check-in and at every venue.
Rain or shine. Every stop is indoors. Late October weather is not our problem, and it isn't yours either.
Costumes aren't required, but come on. You'll be one of the only people without one, and there's a contest.
Cover, Drinks, and Food. Your ticket gets you free cover at all the venues including the afterparty. VIP guests have a spooky cocktail tasting included in their ticket (except where prohibited by law). Outside of that, drinks are purchased at the venues — your ticket gets you in, and we negotiate special spooky cocktails on offer with each venue, but expect to pay (and tip!) for most drinks unless you're VIP or win them as treats!
You don't need a big group. Plenty of people show up as a pair, or even solo. A Halloween bar crawl is one of the easiest places on earth to end up in someone else's group photo!
